Sportradar will enhance the capabilities of the Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting's technical team.
The duo will join forces to prevent match-fixing and ensure the integrity of Brazil's newly regulated sports betting and online gaming market.
Through the ACT, Sportradar will enhance the capabilities of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting's technical team, which is responsible for overseeing the national authorization, inspection, and enforcement of online gaming and sports betting operators.
The partnership with Sportradar will be an important tool to combat a major threat to the fixed-odds betting market, which is the risk of manipulation of sports results.
Deal to Boost Regulatory Capacity
The partnership will leverage Sportradar's Integrity Services to identify and report suspicious market activities, providing the Secretariat with actionable intelligence and strategic recommendations.
Furthermore, Sportradar will join the ongoing educational programs for Secretariat staff as a facilitator and deliver targeted training on match-fixing threats, ensuring staff are equipped with expertise to combat this issue.
We appreciate the trust shown by the Brazilian Ministry of Finance in the expertise of Sportradar's Integrity Services division," Marchetti added. "This ACT reflects a mutual commitment to establish a sustainable, regulated sports betting industry in Brazil that is built upon a foundation of integrity.
