Drake Hits Major Casino Win Ahead of Australia Tour
In addition to his fame as a rapper, singer, and actor, Drake is also known for his love of high-stakes gambling. He is well known for his bets, which often reach hundreds of thousands of dollars, and he has proved it once again with a massive win at an Australian casino.
Drake Celebrates AU$700K Win
A video shared on Instagram this week shows Drake dancing in an elevator while clutching stacks of casino chips. According to local media, the rapper and his entourage made a visit to Crown Melbourne, where he put his gambling skills to the test and found that luck was on his side.
The video was published on Wednesday, just days before he is due to start his “Anita Max Win” tour in Australia, and its caption reads “700k for lunch”. While details about the game he played and the exact amount won are unknown, it seems he hit the big win just before lunch.

The Infamous “Drake Curse”
Drake has become notorious for placing large wagers on major sporting events and while he sometimes wins big, he is probably better known for his huge losses. This has fueled the so-called “Drake curse”, a belief that any team or athlete he supports is doomed to lose.
Earlier this month, he placed a $210,000 parlay bet on the Baltimore Ravens to defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers and for Lamar Jackson to score a touchdown. While the Ravens secured the win, Jackson didn’t reach the end zone, costing Drake what could have been a $630,000 payout on the Stake platform.
The Grammy-winning artist has suffered other notable losses, including a $355,000 bet on Mike Tyson to defeat Jake Paul. When Paul won the late 2024 boxing match, Drake missed out on a potential seven-figure payday.
