Employee's Plea for Help Ends in Tragedy
The accused, identified as Samirkumar Bind, reportedly slit the throat of his employer, Pramodkumar Bind, before fleeing with the stolen money. The murder took place on August 23, and the police swiftly launched an investigation. Pramodkumar Bind, originally from Varanasi, had been working as an interior decorator and labor contractor in Nalasopara for over ten years.
On August 23, Samirkumar, who had worked under Pramodkumar a few years prior, called him, claiming to have come to Mumbai from Surat in search of work. Samirkumar told his former employer that he had no place to stay and requested temporary shelter. Since Pramodkumar's family was in Varanasi, he agreed to let Samirkumar stay at his home for the time being.
However, when Pramodkumar did not answer his phone the next day, his wife, who was in Varanasi, grew concerned. She contacted her brother-in-law, Deepnarayan Bind, who lived in Virar, asking him to check on Pramodkumar. When Deepnarayan arrived at his brother's home at around 9:40 a.m., there was no response. Peeking through the window, he saw Pramodkumar lying in a pool of blood. Deepnarayan immediately broke into the house and found his brother with his throat slit, and the safe was empty. Deepnarayan then informed the police, leading to the registration of a murder case.
As the investigation progressed, the police examined Pramodkumar’s call records and found that Samirkumar had been the last person to contact him. Suspiciously, Samirkumar's phone was switched off, making him the prime suspect. Upon further investigation, police discovered that Samirkumar had been in contact with someone in Mumbai. That individual revealed that Samirkumar had called him, stating he was headed to Varanasi.

After they had dinner, he saw his employer place cash in the safe. Later that night, while Pramodkumar slept, Samirkumar took a knife from the kitchen, slit his throat, and stole the money before fleeing the scene.
