Evolution Cleared of Wrongdoing by New Jersey Gambling Regulator
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) has cleared Evolution, the supplier of online casino technology best known for its live casino product, of allegations made against the company back in November 2021.
Unnamed Company Filed Complaint
An investigation was launched by the NJDGE into potential misconduct by Evolution after an unnamed company accused Evolution of making its products available in illegal markets.
According to the complaint, Evolution games were being played in countries such as Iran, Syria, and Hong Kong, where online gambling is banned. As part of its licensing conditions, Evolution is required to maintain a good reputation, and making its games available in countries where gambling is banned or in countries sanctioned by the US would breach these conditions.
Evolution immediately denied the allegations despite the fact that the complainant claimed to have video evidence.

Following an investigation, the NJDGE has closed the case with no further action.
The NJDGE found no evidence that Evolution sanctioned, promoted, permitted, or otherwise materially benefitted from its content offered by operators in any market that the NJDGE considers a prohibited jurisdiction. Evolution also conducted an internal review, while concluding that its due diligence and compliance processes were sufficient, Evolution took the opportunity to enhance its processes. The NJDGE supports the enhancements that Evolution has made. The enhancements did not relate to any jurisdictional violations.
Following the announcement, Evolution’s shares were trading 3.12% higher at SEK1,341.40 per share.
