Evolution Faces Regulatory Scrutiny

Evolution's new CFO appointment comes at a time when the company faces a review of its operating license by the UK Gambling Commission.

The UKGC launched the review under Section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005, after discovering that Evolution's games were being offered by unlicensed operators in the UK.

The review may result in no action, license modifications, financial penalties, suspension, or cancellation of Evolution's operating license.

However, the software provider has pledged its full cooperation with the investigation. The group promptly addressed the issue by removing content from an illegal website and will continue to work proactively with the Commission to find a resolution.
