Hammers ‘Take Time to Think’
A notable gesture was made by Betway, the official sponsor of West Ham United, when they donated the assets from the London Derby with Tottenham Hotspur to the Betting and Gaming Council and its ‘Take Time to Think’ campaign.
This means that the full Betway matchday advertising campaign at Upton Park featured the Betting and Gaming Council and its ‘Take Time to Think’ campaign, which included live broadcasts on Sky Sports.
Betway are one of the BGC members who are funding the campaign whose aim is to persuade customers to make use of various responsible gambling tools such as deposit limits and time outs.
It’s vitally important that we support this message, and we are delighted to be able to donate such prominent assets in order to maximize the reach of the campaign. Betway back all aspects of the ‘Take Time To Think’ safer gambling message and strive to ensure that our products are used in a fair, safe, secure, and responsible environment.
The campaign includes a series of TV advertisements which show punters taking advantage of the responsible gambling tools and focusing on both online and offline betting businesses.
The new campaign is replacing the ‘When the Fun Stops, Stop’ campaign, which most punters in the UK will now be familiar with.
I am delighted that ‘Take Time To Think’ will feature so prominently at the West Ham v Spurs game and that it will receive a nationwide audience on Sky Sports. The ‘Take Time To Think’ message will encourage even more customers to pause and consider whether to make use of the wide range of safer gambling tools that are available. That will enable them to stay in control of their betting. The efforts BGC members like Betway are making to promote safer gambling are in stark contrast to the all too easily available unsafe, unregulated black market online.
