PlayUp Interactive Handed Record Fine for Illegal Gambling Ads
PlayUp Interactive, the sports betting operator, has received a record fine of AUS $586,000 for breaches of gambling advertisement legislation in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW).

In details of the judgment PlayUp, operating under the Draftstars brand, the regulator said the gaming operator was found to be guilty of 33 separate breaches of gambling guidelines by offering illegal inducements in advertisements.
The case was heard at the Sydney Downing Centre local court, and the judgment was that the operator had broken the rules that state gambling companies are prohibited from offering free bets to customers to open new accounts.
