SEE Gaming Business Forum Focuses on iGaming in Southeast Europe

It has been announced that the second annual SEE Gaming Business Forum is to take place on October 15, 2021, at the Mona Plaza Hotel, Belgrade, Serbia. The event will also be running online for those unable to attend in person. 

SEE Gaming Business Forum will be focus on Southeast Europe

It is the first event of its kind to focus on Southeast Europe, and it will be bringing together C-level executives, software suppliers and major providers, casino and sportsbook operators, payment solutions companies and national regulators. Over the course of the day, they shall be holding discussions on the gambling industry’s requirements, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, regulatory issues, social responsibility, marketing, strategies, and more. 

There will be four panels and two fireside chats. The first panel, titled “Keep on Playing the Game”, will cover issues such as how a recession will affect the gaming industry; in particular, it will focus on Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, and Bulgaria. It will also look at where the industry will focus in the coming years and the development of the online industry. Other topics set to be included are the role of social media and M&As within the industry.

It will be followed by the first fireside chat, which will look at the HR challenges facing the industry. The day’s second panel, titled “Regulatory Issues”, will host a discussion between governments and industry representatives. It will look at legislation goals and the importance of carrying out pre-regulation research. It will also examine the region’s regulation in regard to online gambling.

The third panel, “Technology & Gaming”, will look at software solution providers, KYC procedures, and the differences between desktop and mobile gaming. The final panel of the day, “Responsible Gaming, Marketing, and CSR”, will then discuss compliance and market positioning, media consumption, operators’ role in responsible gaming, and related issues.

Finally, there will be a second fireside chat about affiliates and how they operate in the region before the day ends with a cocktail hour. 

About the SEE Gaming Forum

The first SEE Gaming Forum was held online in November 2020 and brought together 150 participants from 20 countries. These included the Director of the Serbian Gaming Authority, representatives of the Malta Gambling Authority and the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), and representatives from GVC, Sportingbet, Betsson, MaxBet, Betagy, ElBet, Push Gaming, Relax Gaming, AskGamblers, and Blinking.
