The restaurant was cited for several health violations, including insufficient pest control, which impacted its inspection score. However, it is due to reopen today, Monday, January 6, 2025, at 11 am.

Upon receiving the findings last Thursday, the restaurant positioned in the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino immediately halted operations and began addressing the concerns raised. Health inspectors have agreed to permit reopening as long as their recommendations are fully implemented. A follow-up inspection will be conducted after the reopening to confirm compliance with health standards.

Health Violations Highlighted

Inspectors noted several areas for improvement at the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, including better protection of food from potential contamination caused by employees or customers. Other concerns involved ensuring food was not spoiled, adulterated, or exposed to cross-contamination. In addition, the venue was urged to enhance its pest control efforts to meet safety guidelines.

The inspection resulted in 42 demerits, a scoring system that identifies protocol breaches in food establishments. Common issues that contribute to demerits include improper food storage, inadequate temperature control, poor employee hygiene, and general cleanliness.
