888 Expands Board with Three New Appointments
Following its completion of the acquisition of William Hill’s non-US business last week, 888 Holdings has made three new appointments to its board of directors.
Andrea Gisle Joosen, Andria Vidler, and Randy Freer have all joined as Independent Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) with immediate effect, bringing the total number of board members to nine. The appointments were announced just a couple of days after 888 revealed a new management lineup.
Joosen, who hails from Sweden, is a businesswoman who sits on a number of boards, including as a NED with both Currys and Billerud. From 2015 to 2019, she was a NED for Mr Green, which William Hill acquired in 2018. Over the course of her career, Joosen has held a number of senior leadership roles in the tech and media sectors, including as MD for the Nordic region at Panasonic and Twentieth Century Fox.
Vidler brings with her 30 years experience in marketing and technology. Since 2020, she has been the CEO of Tag EMEA, and in the past, she has worked at Bauer Media and the BBC. She has also been a board member of Gamesys, where she chaired the ESG committee.
Feer is the Chief Executive of The Freer Company. Prior to that, he was the CEO of Hulu, the streaming service.
It gives me great pleasure to welcome three outstanding candidates in Andrea, Andria, and Randy to the board of 888. As well as further strengthening the group’s corporate governance structure, they each bring extensive and highly relevant skills and experience to our board which will be of significant benefit to the group as it delivers its long-term strategic objectives as an enlarged business post the completion of our acquisition of William Hill.
Furthermore, Ori Shaked, the gaming entrepreneur, and producer, is set to join the 888’s board of directors subject to regulatory approval.
