888’s Trading Update Shows Growth in Q3 2021
Leading sports betting and online gaming operator 888 Holdings (LON: 888) has recorded huge growth in revenue for the third quarter of 2021.
The Gibraltar based company in charge of 888casino and 888poker released its market update yesterday, which gave detailed reports about its spike in revenue rate in the Q3 of 2021.
According to the update, 888’s group revenues hit $230m in the three months surveyed in the report, which ended on September 30, 2021. This is a 7% increase compared to the three-month period in 2020 when the firm recorded corresponding results of $216m.
The firm justified the 2020’s revenues by ascribing its reasons to the tight sporting schedule that ensured due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which grounded sporting activities. However, 888 Holdings continue their growth as their number of average daily active players rise 6% year-over-year.
Q3 2021 was a period of outstanding strategic progress for 888. During the period, we announced the transformational acquisition of William Hill International, successfully launched SI Sportsbook in the US, and began operating 888sport under a new license in Germany as we continued to execute our plan to build a global online betting and gaming leader. Alongside these important strategic milestones, I am pleased with the group’s continued positive trading, particularly as we lap very tough comparative periods. This performance reflects the continued success of our data-driven investments and execution against our product-leadership plan that delivers ongoing improvements in the usability, quality and safety of our sports betting and gaming products.
