Asia Gaming Awards Celebrates Industry's Achievements in a Night of Accolades
The Asia Gaming Awards, the premier gambling awards event in the region, celebrated the industry's achievements in a glittering night of accolades at the Manila Marriott Ballroom on March 22, 2023. The event was attended by almost 300 members of Asia's gambling industry, marking the return of the gambling industry in Asia.
The awards honored the best operators and integrated resorts, while four individual industry leaders were recognized for their achievements. The event followed the end of the ASEAN Gaming Summit's first day, also held at the Manila Marriott.
The winners were chosen based on their contributions to the industry in various categories. Among the winners were Melco Resorts & Entertainment, which won Best Responsible Gaming Program and the Outstanding Contribution in CSR award. Marina Bay Sands was awarded Best Integrated Resort, and Galaxy Entertainment Group was named Best Gaming Operator. Other winners included Naga Games, Wynn Resorts, Aristocrat, Playtech, Angel Playing Cards, Asia Gaming, Interblock, BetConstruct, Oddin.gg, Everi, Kiron Interactive, and Affilka/SoftSwiss.
The event was hosted by Asia Gaming Brief, and the group's Managing Director Luis Pereira expressed his delight with the turnout at the conference and the attendance at the awards. He was proud of his team for their efforts in putting the event together.
The General Manager of Asia Gaming Brief, Vicky Chan, acknowledged the collective effort and dedication of all the participants that contributed to making the event a success. The Organizing Committee Lead, Jon Bruford, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the event, which aimed to celebrate the industry's achievements.
The outstanding leaders honored were Jane Guan, CCO of Pinnacle, Hakan Dagtas, COO of Newport World Resorts, Yeo Yong Meng, SVP Casino Operations of Genting Malaysia, and Daesik Han, Chairman of Hann Resorts. After receiving their awards, the leaders expressed their gratitude for their teams and their industry mentors.
Mr. Dagtas stated that the Asia Gaming Awards and the ASEAN Summit were even more relevant now that Asia is recovering after COVID, and it was a real pleasure to see the industry come back together. The event was a great effort by the team to make the Asia Gaming Awards happen again, noted Asia Gaming Brief's General Manager, Vicky Chan.
