Listen to this news articleLISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:

Las Vegas Strip headliners often commit to residencies ranging from a few performances to several months or even years with some shows, such as those featuring Wayne Newton, Barry Manilow, and Donny Osmond, seeming to go on indefinitely.

Wayne Newton, known as “Mr. Las Vegas,” launched his Wayne: Up Close and Personal residency at the Wayne Newton Theater in Bugsy’s Cabaret at the Flamingo back in January 2022. The Danke Schoen singer, who first headlined at the Flamingo in 1963, has repeatedly extended his show and is now set to conclude his residency on December 31, 2025.

Donny Osmond, who began his residency at Harrah’s Las Vegas Showroom in August 2021, is scheduled to close his show on June 7, 2025, unless he decides to extend.

Meanwhile, Barry Manilow may never leave the stage at the International Theater at Westgate Las Vegas. In December 2024, he signed a lifetime residency agreement with the casino, ensuring his continued presence for the foreseeable future.

Big Names Returning to the Strip in 2025

Several popular performers will return for new residency runs in 2025, including the Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Bryan Adams, Scorpions, Mötley Crüe, Bruno Mars, and Lenny Kravitz.

Additionally, The Sphere Las Vegas will welcome back its first returning act, as Dead & Company resumes its Dead Forever residency with 18 more performances beginning March 20.

A number of major artists are taking on their first-ever Las Vegas Strip residencies in 2025:

  • Kenny Chesney will bring Kenny Chesney Live at Sphere Las Vegas for 15 shows in May and June 2025, making history as the first country artist to headline at the cutting-edge venue.
  • New Kids on the Block will debut The Right Stuff at Dolby Live at Park MGM with 24 performances scheduled across June, July, and November 2025, as well as February 2026.
  • Alanis Morissette will perform her first-ever residency, taking the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for eight shows starting in October 2025.

Garth Brooks Concludes His Vegas Residency

While many residencies are launching, one is coming to an end. Country superstar Garth Brooks is wrapping up his 54-show Plus One residency at Caesars Palace. His final performance, originally scheduled for March 8, is already sold out, as were the previous weekend’s shows. The entire two-year residency has been a sellout success.

Brooks kicked off his residency in May 2023 with 27 weekend performances through July 2024. Due to overwhelming demand, he later added 18 more dates in September, October, and December 2024. In September 2024, he extended his run one last time, adding nine final shows across February and March 2025.
