Caesars to Break Ground on a New $650M Casino in Virginia

Caesars Entertainment is to break ground this week on the new Caesars Virginia casino resort in the US state of the same name, in a joint venture with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Caesars, the largest casino-entertainment company in the U.S, is to build the development in Danville, Virginia, at a cost of $650 million and is scheduled to open in 2024. It is estimated the new development will create thousands of jobs to build and run the completed resort.

The resort at Virginia will have a 500-room hotel and feature a first-class casino gaming floor, and this will contain 1,300 slots, over 20 electronic table games, and 85 live table games. The resort will also host a Caesars Sportsbook and a WSOP poker room.

The entertainment facilities at the Caesars Virginia resort are to include a spa, a pool, and high-quality restaurants and bars. A theatre seating 2,500 guests, along with 40,000 square feet of space for conventions and meeting rooms.
