Couple Breaks World Record by Visiting 110 Casinos in 24 Hours
Armijn Meijer and Dominique van der Geer, a couple from the Netherlands, have officially secured a spot in the ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ after visiting 110 casinos in a single 24-hour period.

Impressively, they achieved their goal in just 21 hours, leaving them with time to spare. The record-breaking journey was live-streamed on the couple’s YouTube channel to allow viewers to follow along. To meet Guinness World Records’ criteria, they were required to play at least one table game at each casino. Meijer and van der Geer shattered the previous record of 74 casinos, set by Americans Kimo Ah Yun and Gary Meyer, with about five hours still remaining on the clock.
A Well-Planned Record Attempt
The Dutch duo carefully prepared for their attempt, assembling a support team and mapping out an efficient strategy. Their plan involved using SUVs and even helicopters to navigate the Las Vegas Strip and maximize the number of venues they could reach.
On average, they aimed to spend about four and a half minutes in each casino, though this varied throughout the challenge. Their routine was simple but effective: enter the casino, bet $5, spin the slot machine, collect their vouchers, snap a quick photo, and rush to the next location.
At times, they switched things up by playing video roulette or engaging with fellow patrons. In one instance, they gifted a woman $50 for correctly guessing Armijn’s favorite number. Another lucky guest won a $25 free bet by selecting one of three “Golden Envelopes”.
By the end of the challenge, the couple had spent approximately $1,100 and won back around $600. While official figures are still being finalized, Meijer shared that her biggest win was $77, while van der Geer’s top payout was $67.

A Fun-Filled Support Crew
Their team also found creative ways to stay entertained during the record attempt. They played a Las Vegas-themed bingo game, marking off sightings such as police cars with flashing lights. Additionally, one team member, Monica, added some excitement to the adventure by changing into different outfits throughout the day, including a Wonder Woman costume.
Despite their success, Meijer said that they could have visited even more casinos but opted to prioritize safety and enjoyment over sheer numbers.
