Cripple Creek, Colorado, to Welcome New Casino Resort in December
Chamonix Casino Hotel, set to become Colorado's latest casino destination, has announced the opening of hotel reservations. The eagerly anticipated 300-room resort, the latest in the Full House Resorts' portfolio, aims to introduce the first luxury guest accommodations in the Cripple Creek market, seamlessly blending the comfort and allure of Colorado with a touch of European elegance.
Cripple Creek Gets an Upgrade
The grand unveiling of both the casino and hotel is scheduled for December 26, welcoming the public to experience the resort's offerings. Situated adjacent to the existing Bronco Billy's Casino, Chamonix boasts an array of amenities designed to provide guests with an unparalleled entertainment experience.
The new casino area promises to be spacious and stylish, setting the stage for an unforgettable gaming experience. Additionally, a fine-dining restaurant operated by renowned chef Barry Dakake, known for his leadership in several Las Vegas steakhouses, will add a culinary dimension to the resort.

Entertainment and meeting spaces, including a 5,100-square-foot ballroom, cater to various events and gatherings.
The accommodation options include approximately 300 luxurious guest rooms and VIP suites. Highlights of these rooms include fireplaces, soaking tubs, and balconies that offer breathtaking views of The Rockies.
Chamonix encourages guests to explore the natural beauty surrounding the area, with activities such as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, fishing, fossil hunting, tours of local gold-mining operations and historic railways. The resort's strategic location provides a gateway for guests to experience Pikes Peak and the stunning landscapes of the region.
A Long Time Coming
Full House acquired Bronco Billy's in 2016 and, a year later, revealed plans to construct a significantly larger property. These plans gained momentum after Colorado and Cripple Creek voters removed bet limits in 2021, opening up new possibilities for the project.
The trajectory of this initiative mirrors the growth seen in Black Hawk's casinos. The expansion in Black Hawk commenced with the introduction of a 535-room hotel tower at Ameristar Casino in 2009. Subsequently, in 2020, Monarch Casino Resort added a 516-room hotel complex and spa to the landscape. Notably, Black Hawk, along with nearby Central City in the mountains outside Denver and Cripple Creek west of Colorado Springs, stands as one of the few Colorado cities where casinos operate legally, thanks to a voter-approved Constitutional amendment in 1990.
The expansion efforts in Black Hawk have proven successful, contributing to a significant increase in the average amount spent by gamblers in the city's casinos—up by approximately a third. These developments have resulted in substantial profits for casinos that invested over $600 million in the two aforementioned projects.
