DraftKings, the sports gaming and entertainment company, has announced proposals to launch its online sportsbook in Maine, North America, subject to regulatory approval from the gaming authorities.

The global operator has partnered with the Passamaquoddy Tribe, who already have a significant presence as a gaming operator in the region.

This will be the 25th state that DraftKings has launched its Sportsbook, and will see customers over 21 able to access the award-winning DraftKings Sportsbook app, featuring pre-match and in-game betting options and unique same-game-parlays.

Building a relationship with the Passamaquoddy Tribe is a fantastic opportunity for DraftKings as we look to bring customers in the state of Maine safe and legal sports betting. We look forward to our continued collaboration with the Maine Gambling Control Unit as we become the official mobile sports betting provider of the Passamaquoddy Tribe and launch in our industry-leading 25th state.

The Passamaquoddy Tribe has two reservations at Motahkomikuk and Sipayik, located in Washington, Maine. Because the Indian Tribe is federally recognized, it allows DraftKings to become the official mobile sports betting provider of the Passamaquoddy Tribe.

The Passamaquoddy Tribe is excited to enter into a mobile sports wagering agreement with DraftKings. We couldn’t have landed a better organization in the mobile sports wagering arena, and we look forward to continued progress and investment for future growth in the state of Maine.
