Investment of Up to $95 Million
The racino is operated by Accel Entertainment, Inc., a leading distributed gaming company in the U.S. The company plans to invest between $85 million and $95 million in both the new casino facilities and enhancements to the horse racing operations, following their acquisition of Fairmont Holdings. The current gaming area, housed temporarily in the grandstand, marks the first phase of redevelopment. Phase two will see the construction of a full-scale casino on-site.
With roots tracing back to 1925, the Collinsville track boasts a century of racing tradition and remains the sole horse racing venue serving the greater St. Louis region. It hosts approximately 65 live racing days and about 435 races each year.
