First UAE Lottery Offers AED100 Million Jackpot and Scratchcards
The UAE Lottery, the first officially licensed gambling venture in the United Arab Emirates, has begun selling tickets in preparation for its inaugural draw later this month.

Players Must Be 18+ and Based in UAE
Eligibility is restricted to individuals aged 18 and older who are physically present within the UAE. Currently, ticket sales are exclusively available through online platforms.
The Game, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based gaming and entertainment company Momentum, secured the UAE Lottery license in July. This license was issued by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) following a competitive process. The Game outperformed well-known rivals Emirates Draw and Mahzooz, both of which are now exploring alternative areas of operation.
Smartplay International, a leading provider of lottery draw technology for major global lotteries, received a UAE vendor license in October, which suggests it is providing technology for the new lottery system.

Bishop Woosley to Direct UAE Lottery
Momentum has appointed Bishop Woosley, an experienced lottery executive, to direct its UAE Lottery operations. Woosley previously served as director of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, where he spent two years as legal counsel before taking the top position for eight years. During his tenure, he also presided over the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries.
Following his role in Arkansas, Woosley worked as a consultant for four years before joining Momentum in August, according to his LinkedIn profile.
