Fortuna Entertainment with New Interim CEO
Leading Central and Eastern gaming operator Fortuna Entertainment has announced the appointment of David Vanek as its Interim CEO.
The decision is coming after the departure of the long-term CEO Per Widerstrom, who held the position for seven years. Under his leadership, the company grew in leaps and bounds and expanded more than five times in size.
Speaking on his tenure and exit, Widerstrom expressed his thanks to customers, business partners, or other stakeholders for being with him and FEG during his years as CEO. He specifically thanked the employees and Penta Investments for their support and collaboration.
As the new CEO, Vanek will oversee the activities, services, and products of FEG, as well as its growth and expansion plans. He will resume the role on 1 March.
Fortuna currently has over 6,200 staff and 3,300 betting shops across Europe, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, and Romania.
I am proud to have been given the opportunity to lead FEG into the next phase of its development. I am truly excited about the tremendous potential the company has, and I am looking forward to leveraging the group's extensive know-how to deliver a market-leading proposition to all our customers.
