GamCare Taps NHS Veteran for Clinical Leadership
GamCare has named Tim Hodgetts as its new Director of Clinical Operations.
Hodgetts will oversee the delivery of the charity's treatment and support services in the UK.
Tim Hodgetts brings a wealth of experience to GamCare, with 22 years of service in various leadership positions within the National Health Service (NHS). His expertise includes designing, managing, and optimizing healthcare networks.
Prior to joining the charity, Hodgetts was the Deputy Director for Integrated Care Services at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust. In the position, he was accountable for overseeing the unit's performance and ensuring they met NHS targets and objectives.
According to GamCare, under Hodgetts' direction, urgent care services, including the local NHS 111 telephony and online channel, were transformed into the highest-performing program in the country.
I am delighted to welcome Tim, whose significant expertise, knowledge, and insights will be invaluable to the clinical leadership of the GamCare team. I look forward to making further senior appointments in due course.
Hodgetts to Oversee Charity's Support Services
In his new role, Hodgetts will oversee the development and delivery of the charity's treatment and support services, including the National Gambling Helpline for problem gambling individuals across the UK.
Hodgetts will also collaborate with the charity's Research and Development unit to design and implement prevention and education programs to mitigate gambling-related harms and promote healthy behaviors.
I’m delighted to be joining GamCare and supporting the team to deliver its priorities. The opportunity to lead and support the organisation to continue delivering high-quality, personalized support services, including the National Gambling Helpline – outstanding of its kind – that ensure the best possible outcomes for people experiencing gambling harm, is why I was attracted to the role.
