Gaming Realms Reaches Licensing Agreement with IGT
Gaming Realms (LON: GMR), the popular developer of mobile-focused content, has announced the signing of a licensing agreement with International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT), one of the largest companies in the industry.
The agreement will allow Gaming Realms to develop Slingo games based upon some of IGT’s most popular slots. It allows the developer to draw inspiration from IGT’s vast portfolio of games, which includes numerous popular titles such as Cleopatra and Da Vinci Diamonds.
Slingo games are becoming ever more popular with online players. They combine elements of slots and bingo to provide high-speed entertainment with the chance of big winnings.
Combining Slingo with IGT’s iconic proprietary gaming brands represents a compelling partnership, as we accelerate expansion across the US and European markets. Given the popularity of IGT’s titles, this is a fantastic opportunity for Gaming Realms to introduce its Slingo genre to new audiences and welcome a new generation of Slingo fans.
Enrico Drago, the SVP of IGT PlayDigital, said that the new partnership is an “exciting opportunity” for IGT to extend the reach of some of its top performing games. He explained, “These iconic IGT brands are widely recognised by land-based and digital players alike, which will assist Gaming Realms with its goal of creating new Slingo players, while reinforcing the power of IGT’s brands in the fast-growing online market.”
Gaming Realms has been working hard to expand in the last few months. It recently received an interactive gaming license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, its third US license. It also recently signed a partnership deal with the UK online casino NetBet. Clearly, the industry has been taking note as over the last year the company’s share price has almost trebled in value.
