GiG Becomes Ontario License Holder
Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has been granted a supplier license for Ontario, allowing it to launch its services and partner with other approved operators in the newly regulated jurisdiction.
The Ontario iGaming market went live on April 4 and has been a significant booster for the national gaming industry. Due to its high population and active gaming community, the province has attracted a lot of operators and suppliers, leading to competitive odds and more gaming revenue for the government.
After confirmation of its regulatory approval from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), GiG praised the province’s ‘early entrance’ to the gaming industry and was optimistic about reports stating that the newly-regulated market will grow to over $2bn in GGR in the next three years.
With Ontario in the bag, GiG is now licensed in 22 markets and awaiting regulatory approvals from four other markets, aligning with its aims of expanding in the global gaming industry.
In receiving the registration from the AGCO, we have reached another important milestone in our resolute commitment to supporting the igaming industry for regulated markets, and we’re delighted to be prepared to power new and potential partners in the province.
Earlier this month, GiG announced a partnership with Caravel Entertainment that will see it supply its online sportsbook and gaming platform to the betting operator for the Portuguese market.
