Global Games Completes Acquisition of Quickfire

Leading iGaming developer Microgaming has announced the completion of the sale of its Quickfire online games portfolio and distribution business to Games Global Limited.

The deal, which was first announced in November 2021, will see Games Global take complete ownership of Quickfire’s suite of gaming content and extensive customer network across more than 900 gaming brands.

Relatively new in the industry, Games Global was founded as a private capital-backed company in 2021. It’s led by CEO Walter Bugno and CFO Tim Mickley. The two individuals are highly experienced in the iGaming industry, having worked for A-list companies like IGT and Lottomatica and Safecharge and Playtech, respectively.

The company will also continue to offer its sports betting software to leading sportsbook operator, Betway.
