In a recent press release, the company said that the expansion will make more space for both gaming and non-gaming activities. The resort, rebranded and reopened in December 2021 as an upgraded version of the former Widus Hotel and Casino, currently includes 865 rooms under the Swissôtel, Marriott, and Widus names. Its casino features 200 gaming tables, electronic games, and over 1,000 slot machines.

Two New Casino Floors for Gaming and Dining

The planned expansion will add two new floors to the casino. According to the statement, the first floor will feature an open gaming space with more than 60 new gaming tables and over 500 additional slot machines. The second floor will focus on VIP gaming and exclusive dining experiences.

As part of the project, the resort will also introduce new restaurant concepts and a café. The first phase is expected to be completed by late 2025, with the entire project set for completion in early 2026.

Hann Resorts has secured financing for this venture through a recently finalized loan agreement with its banking partners.

Development Begins of New Clark City Park

In addition to the casino expansion, Hann Resorts broke ground last Friday on a 10-hectare public park at New Clark City. This new park, part of the Hann Reserve development, is part of the company’s commitment to supporting the local community. Designed to offer various recreational activities, the park will be developed in phases, opening progressively from 2026 to 2030.

The broader Hann Reserve project will feature three 18-hole golf courses, luxury hotels, villas, a casino, a commercial center, residences, and an international school. Confirmed hotel partners for the development include Accor SA’s So, Sofitel, and Emblems brands, as well as Marriott International’s The Luxury Collection and Westin brands.

In December 2023, the project welcomed the groundbreaking of a Banyan Tree-branded hotel, and earlier this year, Hann Philippines announced plans for a 250-room InterContinental hotel at the site.
