Intralot Extends New Zealand Gaming Monitoring Agreement Until 2032
Intralot has confirmed that its subsidiary, Intralot New Zealand Ltd., has finalized a new agreement with the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) of New Zealand to extend its contract for the Electronic Monitoring System (EMS) solution for Class 4 electronic gaming machines.
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:The extension adds six years to the existing contract period, covering 2026 through 2032, with an additional option for a one-year extension. Simultaneously, the DIA has exercised a separate one-year extension option under the current EMS agreement, extending the contract from May 10, 2025, to May 10, 2026.

These venues include non-casino locations such as pubs and clubs that host electronic gaming machines.
The system is designed to monitor game activity, support accurate financial reporting, and uphold the integrity of gaming operations. By tracking real-time data and providing regulatory oversight, EMS plays a critical role in maintaining transparency and accountability across the sector.
Under the renewed agreement, Intralot will continue to provide its established EMS platform while also delivering a series of technology upgrades. These enhancements aim to introduce advanced services and functionalities that will further support the regulation and management of Class 4 gambling in New Zealand.
The system includes features such as secure data management, real-time reporting, auditing tools, and accounting services to support regulatory enforcement and operational efficiency. The contract extension highlights the government's continued reliance on Intralot's technology to ensure the integrity and compliance of electronic gaming operations within the country.

The long-term partnership between Intralot and the DIA reflects a history of collaboration focused on implementing high-quality monitoring systems that meet New Zealand's regulatory requirements. Intralot New Zealand previously secured a three-year extension of its EMS contract with the DIA, covering the period from 2022 to 2025, along with an additional one-year extension option. That agreement solidified Intralot's role as the exclusive provider of monitoring and reporting services for the nation's Class 4 gaming sector.
Intralot recently partnered with the Charitable Gaming Division in the US state of Nebraska, to introduce a real-time monitoring system that is expected to go live in the near future. The company already operates similar systems in other regions, including Victoria in Australia, as well as the US states of Georgia and Ohio.
