ITIA Serves Up a Life Ban to Alexis Musialek for TACP Breaches
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has announced it has banned French professional tennis player Alexis Musialek from the game for life after breaching anti-corruption rules.
Musialek was charged with 39 breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) which was introduced into the sport of tennis to stop match-fixing and strengthen gambling regulation.
The case was heard in an independent hearing by the Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO) Raj Parker. He found that Musialek had committed the 39 breaches during a prolonged period and had received money to influence the outcome of multiple tennis matches.

Musialek, who is 35 years old and achieved a career-high ranking at the ATP of 255, has been punished with a life ban from the sport and also handed a $50,000 fine. The ITIA confirmed the ban is effective from August 2023 and prohibits Musialek from playing, coaching or attending any tennis events sanctioned by the governing bodies.

Musialek Fixed Matches between 2016 and 2018
In the judgment of the AHO it was found that Musialek participated in the fixing of 9 games of tennis during the season between 2016 and 2018.
The hearing also concluded that Musialek had been uncooperative with the ITIA and failed to hand over evidence to the agency, and had also included other players to participate in match-fixing.
Musialek, who reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of 255 in 2015, denied all charges brought against them, but was found by independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO) Raj Parker to have been involved in the fixing of nine matches between 2016 and 2018, alongside failing to co-operate with an ITIA investigation by withholding evidence.
