LeoVegas Joins IBJR to Set Guidelines for Brazilian Gaming Market
The LeoVegas Group, a global gaming provider, has announced it has recently joined the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR) to promote a responsible gambling environment.
The IBJR comprises many of the leading tier-1 gaming operators in the industry, including bet365, Flutter, Entain, and the Betsson Group.
The purpose of the IBJR is for the members to work towards producing a set of fair rules and guidelines for the operators to follow that maintain socially responsible gambling in the Brazilian gaming market.
Members of the IBJR can use their expertise and share industry experience to safeguard gamblers in Brazil. With a regulated gaming market, all the stakeholders believe this is the best way to ensure long-term sustainability in the gambling markets in Brazil.
Senior management at LeoVegas has stated that the company is proud to be part of the discussions on the future of gaming on all platforms in the Brazilian jurisdiction and hopes to be able to make a meaningful contribution to the IBJR.
This announcement has come shortly after LeoVegas released its trading report for the first quarter of 2023, which saw revenues for the gaming operator drop slightly in a year-on-year comparison.
