Lotto Max Hits Record $80 Million Jackpot
For only the second time in Canadian Lottery history, the Lotto Max jackpot has soared to $80 million, matching the set record for the country’s largest lottery prize.

The prize money skyrocketed after Friday's $75-million draw failed to produce a winner, triggering a jackpot rollover and a significant increase in value.
The Lotto Max prize cap was increased earlier this year, removing the previous $70 million limit and allowing jackpots to grow to $80 million.
In September, following the implementation of the new, higher jackpot cap, the prize reached $80 million for the first time. The record jackpot was split by two lucky winners, one from Ontario and the other from Quebec.
However, while the promise of a bigger payout may attract more ticket buyers, the odds of actually winning the lottery remain extremely slim.
According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, the chances of winning with a $5 ticket are approximately 1 in 33,294,800.

Lucky Ticket Holder Wins Big
Although Friday’s draw didn’t produce a jackpot winner, one ticket holder managed to match six numbers and the bonus, earning a prize worth more than $320,000.
The numbers that made up the winning draw were 4, 6, 9, 21, 40, 42, and 43, along with a bonus number of 24.
The next entry for the Lotto Max draw is Tuesday, where customers would have a chance to win the massive $80 million jackpot. Players can check their tickets or buy new ones online at OLG.ca or at an authorized OLG retailer.
Lotto Max was introduced in Canada on September 19, 2009, and had its first draw on September 25 of the same year. To play, one must pick 7 numbers from a pool of 50. Players also receive three additional numbers, known as the “Extra numbers”, which they can use to win more prizes.
