Marco Falchetto Joins bet-at-bome as New Board Member
European online gambling and sports betting company bet-at-home has announced the appointment of Marco Falchetto to its management board.
Falchetto joins the company with a wealth of experience from working for several years in managerial and consultancy roles in the gaming industry.
Meanwhile, the tenure of Frank Omer bet-at-home co-founder, and board member Michael Quatember will expire at the end of this month and will see the two individuals exit the management board.
At the beginning of this month, the MGA-licensed betting operator was in the news when it released its forecast for the 2022 fiscal year. The company, in its analysis, took into consideration its involuntary exit from the Austrian and Maltese markets and the layoffs of 65 employees that resulted from the withdrawal.
The Betclic-owned site withdrew from the Austrian jurisdiction after a legal dispute from players seeking their lost funds while playing with unlicensed operators. This led to every online gaming operator leaving the region except Casino Austria, which is the only operator approved by the gaming authority to offer online gambling in the jurisdiction.
However, bet-at-home predicts that its gross gaming revenues will fall between €50m-€60m, and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) will be between minus €2m and €2m.
