As September dawns, a spotlight is cast on responsible gaming as MGM Resorts and BetMGM join forces with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to commemorate Responsible Gaming Education Month.

With a shared commitment to fostering a culture of informed and responsible gambling, this collaboration aims to provide valuable education to guests, customers, and employees, ensuring that gaming remains a source of entertainment and excitement. This marks BetMGM’s efforts to remain a leader in the industry and one of the established casino operators.
Central to this initiative is the renowned responsible gaming program, GameSense, which was introduced to the scene by MGM Resorts in 2017, through a licensing agreement with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation.
Designed to promote positive, open, and supportive conversations about responsible gambling, GameSense is now an integral part of MGM Resorts' and BetMGM's approach to customer service. By offering guidance on setting limits, recognizing signs of problem gambling behavior, and ensuring players maintain control, GameSense facilitates a safer and more enjoyable gaming experience.
An exciting development in this year's Responsible Gaming Education Month is the prominent display of GameSense at nine NFL stadiums across the nation. This display comes as part of MGM Resorts' and BetMGM's collective commitment of $1 million annually towards responsible gaming initiatives.
By featuring GameSense messaging on LED banners within these iconic venues during the upcoming football season, both companies are pioneering the integration of responsible gaming advocacy directly into league-related marketing efforts.
Gambling Awareness in Sports
In becoming among the first gaming operators to actively promote responsible gaming within league venues, MGM Resorts and BetMGM are sending a message to the industry and the public alike. This is 25 years of celebrating responsible gaming education with the American Gaming Association. Though we build responsible gaming into everything we do, day in and day out, throughout the month you will see increased messaging at all of our properties, on the Strip marquees and the Las Vegas interstate that serves as the corridor to where the big games are played on Sundays.
The partnership also extends to the AGA's "Have A Game Plan Mission," aimed at encouraging responsible sports wagering among both new and seasoned bettors. This mission is being visibly promoted on Las Vegas marquees and throughout all MGM Resorts' properties nationwide.
