More Unlicensed Online Casinos Ordered to Leave Michigan
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has taken further steps to protect the state's regulated gaming industry by issuing cease-and-desist letters to ten unlicensed online casino operators. These operators, all linked to Apex Dynamics Ltd., a company based in Belize, were found to be offering unauthorized gambling services to Michigan residents without proper licensure from the state's regulatory body.

The MGCB identified the 10 online platforms as Aladdin's Gold Casino, All Star Slots, Buzz Luck, Club World Casinos, CryptoReels, High Noon, Lucky Red Casino, Manhattan Slots Casino, ReelSpin Casino, and Slotter Casino. Each of these platforms was determined to be in violation of Michigan state law for providing online casino-style games to residents without being licensed by the MGCB. The agency's actions are based on evidence that these platforms have been operating in contravention of the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, the Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and the Michigan Penal Code.
According to the MGCB, these offshore sites continued to offer a wide array of casino games to users within Michigan despite lacking regulatory approval. By circumventing the state's licensing process, these platforms operate outside the boundaries of established consumer protection and fair play standards. The MGCB has reiterated its commitment to upholding the integrity of Michigan's gaming industry, emphasizing that unauthorized gambling sites pose a direct threat to players who may be exposed to unfair practices and limited recourse in disputes.

Unlicensed Means Unwelcome
Investigations conducted by the MGCB found that these illegal platforms often lure customers through a variety of payment options, including major credit cards, PayPal, and cryptocurrencies. However, they reportedly employ restrictive withdrawal policies, requiring players to meet extensive wagering requirements before they can access their winnings. Such practices, which are not subject to state oversight, further highlight the risks consumers face when engaging with unregulated operators.
Each of the identified operators, as in the previous cases, has been given 14 days from the date of receiving their cease-and-desist notices to halt all activities targeting Michigan players. Failure to comply with the MGCB's order may result in additional enforcement measures, including legal proceedings pursued in coordination with the Michigan Attorney General's Office. The agency has made clear that it will continue to act decisively against those who ignore state regulations in order to protect Michigan residents and maintain trust in the legal gaming framework.
This move marks the continuation of a broader crackdown by the MGCB on unauthorized online gambling platforms. In recent months, the agency has issued similar orders to other offshore entities found to be operating in the state without the necessary licensure. The MGCB maintains that any online gambling site offering services in Michigan must be licensed and in full compliance with state law, or it will face enforcement actions aimed at removing unregulated gambling from the market.
