NCAA Investigate Young Basketball Player over Gambling Activity
The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), the regulatory organization of college sports in North America, has announced it held a lengthy interview with student basketball player, Hysier Miller, during an investigation into a match he played in for Temple College earlier this year.

LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:In details of the statement the interview between the NCAA and Hysier Miller lasted for more than five hours. Jason Bologna the lawyer representing Miller said his client cooperated fully with the investigation and answered all questions put to him.
The investigation relates to a match in March this year between Temple and UAB. During this game Miller scored 8 points on the night, which was around half his average score of 15.9 in a match. However the NCAA noted that there were unusual wagering patterns during this match, and this prompted the regulatory body to start an investigation into the game.
Miller went on to play for Virginia Tech after transferring to the college. Unfortunately, he has since been released, with the team saying it was due to activity prior to his playing for them.
Hysier Miller fully cooperated with the NCAA’s investigation. He sat for a five-hour interview and answered every question the NCAA asked. He also produced every document the NCAA requested, Hysier did these things because he wanted to play basketball this season, and he is devastated that he cannot.

NCAA Provides Training On Sports Betting Rules
The NCAA and Temple were quick to point out that the college sports regulator is trying to provide advice and support to student-athletes. It does this by providing training on the strict rules prohibiting gambling by student athletes and college coaching staff.
The NCAA tries to monitor betting activity in basketball and sports in North America and earlier this year found a college basketball coach had breached its stringent gambling rules.
