Nevada's September Gambling Revenue Hits $1.27 Billion
Gaming establishments in Nevada recorded a total gambling revenue of $1.27bn in September, a 1.6% increase compared to the $1.25bn reported in September 2022.
The revenue was also 5.0% higher than the $1.21bn recorded in August of this year. Slots remain the primary source of revenue in the Silver State, contributing $814:6m to the total revenue. However, it was 5.1% lower year-on-year.
In September, consumers favored multi-denomination slots, generating $473.9 million in revenue, a 5.7% increase year-on-year. Meanwhile, penny slots brought in $249.0 million, marking a 16.8% decrease from the previous year.
Looking at other games, table, counter, and card games accounted for $456.0m, up 16.6%. Baccarat was the top choice for players, raking in $148.8m in revenue. This showed an impressive 85.8% increase from 2022.
Blackjack revenue also showed an increase of 12.9% to $97.7m. Craps contributed $36.5m to the overall revenue, up 12.2%. However, revenue roulette declined 8.9% year-on-year to $36.9m, and Pai Gow poker revenue also decreased 13.2% to $11.0m. Three-card poker revenue increased slightly by 0.4% to $10.7m.
Sport Wagering Revenue
Sports wagering revenue declined 11.8% in September to $62.3m. Of this figure, football contributed the highest at $38.7m. This is due to the start of the new NFL season, which led to football becoming the primary choice for bettors.
Baseball was next with a revenue of $16.1m. However, basketball and hockey wagers resulted in a loss of $328,000 and $430,000 respectively. Parlay cards brought in $911,000 in revenue, while sports generated $7.2m.
Mobile sports betting accounted for $29.0m of the total sports wagering revenue.

Las Vegas Strip Revenue
Collective revenue from the Las Vegas Strip amounted to $741.2m, a 6.9% increase compared to last September. While slot revenue on the Strip decreased 6.4% to $383.1m, revenue from table, counter, and card games surged 26.3% to $358.1m. This growth was particularly bolstered by the 87.8% boost in baccarat revenue.
Sports pool revenue on the Strip decreased by 3.9% to $31.2m. Mobile bets contributed $12.7m to the total sports revenue.
