New Hampshire Release October Betting Handle
In October, New Hampshire recorded a seven-month high total sports betting handle of $77.8m. However, the figure dropped 14.8% compared to $91.3m in October 2022, but 16.5% higher than the $66.8m reported in September this year.
From the total handle, mobile betting accounted for $65.9m, while the remaining $12.0m was wagered at retail sportsbooks in the state.
DraftKings continues to be the sole provider of online sports betting services in Hampshire after obtaining exclusive rights for the state back in November 2019.
Betting Revenue Second Best in 2023
According to the figures released by the New Hampshire Lottery, gross gaming revenue reached $8.8m in October, a decrease of 3.3% from the $9.1m generated in October 2022, but surged 41.9% compared to the $6.9m recorded in September this year.
This figure makes October the second most successful month in 2023 for operators so far, trailing January’s record $12.6m revenue. Online betting contributed $8.4m to October’s revenue, while retail betting accounted for $334,433.
The state received $3.8m in gaming tax during the month, with online betting accounting for the highest at $3.7m, while $144,756 came in from retail.

Year-to-Date Results
Regarding year-to-date performance in the state, the handle for the four months to the end of September totaled $220.4m, with $193.2 from online bets and $27.1m from retail bets. Revenue accrued during this period amounted to $21.8m. As expected, $20.2m was generated from online betting and $1.6m from retail sources.
