Novamedia Becomes 16th Dutch License Holder
Novamedia Gaming has been awarded a license by the Dutch Gaming Authority Kansspelautoriteit, making it the sixteenth online gaming entity to be granted approval by the authority since the launch of the Netherlands iGaming market.
As a result of the license, Novamedia Gaming would be able to run an online casino and offer real money games via the internet in the Netherlands. However, the firm is yet to decide the domain name it will operate within the market.
Novamedia’s goal to offer gambling services in the Netherlands started about one year ago when the firm made its intention known and submitted licensing applications to operate in the market. In September 2021, the company also asserted that launching in the Dutch region would help it contribute to a strong civil society and create a better, greener, and fairer world for everyone.
The Netherlands iGaming market went live in October with ten initial operators, including Toto Online, Holland Casino, GGPoker, bet365, Tombola, Bingo, BetEnt, Play North, and FPO Netherlands.
Once, the Postcode Lotteries were pioneers in sharing our mission with a broad audience through large television shows and in connecting players to our lotteries. Online games are a new medium. We believe we can use this opportunity in a safe and responsible manner to offer the kind of fun and entertainment that fits our brands, so we maintain our high contribution to society, raised by our loyal players.
