PGCB Issues $50,000 Fine to Philadelphia Casino
A Philadelphia casino has been penalized by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for breaching gambling regulations.
Live! Casino did not properly identify and prevent customers on the exclusion list from placing wagers.
The PGCB has granted approval to a request from its Office of Enforcement Counsel, ordering Stadium Casino RE LLC, operator of Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, to pay a $50,000 fine for failing to prevent four individuals on the PGCB’s exclusion list from gambling at the facility.
According to the PGCB, Live! Casino failed to meet regulatory standards by not properly identifying and preventing customers on the exclusion list from placing wagers.
In a separate action, the PGCB has added five individuals to its iGaming Involuntary Exclusion List for engaging in fraudulent activities. Investigations revealed that two patrons created 20 online accounts, exceeding the single-account limit. Additionally, two individuals illegally requested and obtained over $30,000 in credit card chargebacks.
With the new additions, the number of individuals on the iGaming involuntary exclusion list has grown to 47. Those on the list will not be able to access online casinos in Pennsylvania or enter any casino or gaming establishment in the state.
Two females were also prohibited from entering any Pennsylvania casino after abandoning minors unattended on casino premises twice.

Second Strike for Live! Casino
This fine marks the second time this year that Live! Casino will face disciplinary action from the PGCB. In June, the operator was fined $100,000 for accepting nearly $300,000 in prohibited proxy wagers via phone.
A probe uncovered that Live! Casino staff members accepted 15 remote wagers from a patron over eight days despite the person not being physically present in the casino. This contravenes state gaming laws requiring in-person betting.
The staff members who placed the bets were fired, and their gaming employment licenses were withdrawn.
