Playbook Engineering Hires Jonathan Chilton as New COO
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Playbook Engineering, the sports and casino betting platform provider, has announced Jonathan Chilton will join the senior leadership team as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Chilton has acquired nearly two decades of experience in the iGaming industry and previously worked for GM Gaming Limited. This is a Betway Group subsidiary and he spent six years at the gaming operator, where he served as COO and several other senior management positions.
Jonathan Chilton has also spent more than a decade working in South Africa, where he held a range of job titles at Osiris Trading in Johannesburg.
I am delighted to join Playbook at such a critical point in their journey and am very excited about contributing to the company's strategy and ambition to take their platform global, I have inherited an amazing team from my predecessor and hope to build on its success and potential, but also looking at maturing regulated markets such as in the US or Ontario, which can be difficult markets to penetrate but ultimately very valuable.
Playbook Engineering supplies a betting platform that it provides to all sizes of gaming operators from tier 1 down. It boasts a service that is scalable, modular, and can be customized to integrate with different operators. It provides support and has the capability to supply managed options.

Strategy to Take the Provider Global
Playbook says it has a long-term strategy to take the company into new markets in North America. The company believes Chilton is the right candidate to increase the footprint of the Playbook sports and casino offering. The provider feels that Chilton’s strategic expertise and operational ex-perience will help lead the company in this direction.
Chilton has expressed there are many challenges facing Playbook as the company looks to expand into the US and Ontario markets but stresses that these are both lucrative markets for the provid-er.
Personnel Shake Up at the Top
The hire of Jonathan Chilton is the latest appointment from Playbook Engineering as the company makes changes to key personnel as it moves in a direction of expansion.
The provider named Luke Cousins as the company’s new Commercial Director, joining the business in July this year.
