Play’n GO Bring Monster Rock to Slots in New Lordi Reel Monsters
Play’n GO, the popular casino game developer, is diving into the world of rock music with its latest slot release, Lordi Reel Monsters.
In the game, Lordi and his band of monsters wake from their sleep and call upon demons, trolls, and other fearsome beasts to join them on a rampage of rock. The slot is based upon the Finnish heavy-metal band who made their mark on Eurovision 2006 with the hit ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah.’
While spinning the reels, players will have the chance to enjoy a free spins feature and choose which of Lordi’s new songs to listen to, ‘Better Hate Than Never’ or ‘Reel Monster’, the second of which was written specially for Play’n GO.
Anyone who enjoyed The House of Hammer Horror comics will find the stylized artwork familiar, and it fits perfectly with the story of the monsters rising to take over the planet.
The slot itself takes place on a 7x7 grid. It uses a cluster pays mechanic and Lordi destroys winning clusters to allow more symbols to fall and take their place, potentially forming more clusters. In addition to free spins, there is also a Demon Charger that can trigger various reel modifiers, such as adding extra wilds to the reels. Each of the modifiers is represented by a different member of the band, and they come to life on screen through thrilling animations when activated.
Our ever-growing portfolio of Music IP titles is beyond compare. We get to explore different genres and sub-genres, which cements our versatility and diversity within the industry further. We place a lot of focus on our characters and their stories in our games, and each member of Lordi lend themselves to the game’s narrative. The fact that each member already has a backstory was a bonus! Players come to us to be entertained, and they’ll get more than they bargained for with Lordi Reel Monsters.
