Playtika Launches WSOP Campaign with Laurence Fishburne
Leading game developer Playtika has partnered with Lawrence Fishburne to be the face of its new national commercial as the World Series of Poker campaign begins.
The Playtika's powered World Series of Poker is one of the biggest poker tournaments in the world. The event is expected to launch across the United States with Laurence Fishburne as its face and brand ambassador. The new commercial is the first time an American actor and producer would participate with a digital game developer.
The commercial is titled "The Legend of World Series of Poker," and it features a scene where Fishburne watched and narrated the story of WSOP player StanDaMan. The ad follows the story of StanDaMan as he goes on a mission to attain a digital version of the WSOP championship bracelet.
Fishburne watched all this seated in an American diner with a background transition into a beautiful scene with a medieval royal dining hall with abundant food and colorfully dressed personalities. The commercial paints how playing WSOP gives players the chance to "Become а Poker Legend" from nothing to greatness.
Laurence and his amazing personality and style really bring to life the WSOP player experience. We are proud to have created a commercial that complements the epic persona of Lawrence with the epic legacy of World Series of Poker for the benefit of our players.
Laurence Fishburne is an award-winning American actor and producer with credits in several top movies like The Matrix, Apocalypse, and The Colony. He is famous for his militant and authoritative roles in films.
It was a really interesting offer to join the project. It came to me, and I thought, 'I had to be a part of this.' I'm aware of WSOP and am fascinated by the gamesmanship of it. I'm thrilled to be a part of this game and hope people enjoy my presence and that it can give them some joy!
