PlayUp Launches Racebook App into Billion Dollar US Horseracing Market
PlayUp, the online betting provider, has launched its Racebook app that covers global horse racing in several U.S. states.
The Racebook is a pari-mutuel-based betting platform and is available in key states, including California, Florida, Kentucky, and Ohio. PlayUp expects to add other states in the future. PlayUp believes it is tapping into the growing U.S. market that is believed to be worth an estimated $12 billion a year.
PlayUp already operates a sportsbook in many states in North America. However, its Racebook app is dedicated to the sport of horse racing.
In a statement from PlayUp, they indicated that the launch has come after months of development and debuts in time for the summer horse racing season, including the European triple crown of races.
The launch of our online Racebook comes at an opportune time where you will see significant growth in the horseracing industry, particularly as the U.S fixed odds market opens up. It is also a testament to the team at PlayUp to be able to deliver a product that taps into the US$12 billion a year sector. It’s an exciting time for PlayUp and our shareholders.
An agreement between PlayUp and key racetracks means users have access to racecourse facts and figures on the Racebook app. As well as the U.S. states, PlayUp also operates in Australia, New Zealand, and India.
