Rednines Deal Paves Way for GGBet's UK Debut
eSports betting operator GGBet has been granted market access to the UK following the acquisition of its trademark by Rednines Gaming.
Rednines Gaming previously operated its online casino and sports betting platform under the Dr.Bet brand name in the jurisdiction. However, with the GGBet brand purchase, Dr.Bet will now redirect users to ggbet.co.uk.
Existing customers who signed up with Dr.Bet will seamlessly have their accounts and balances transferred to the GGBet domain without any disruption.
The decision to purchase the GGBet franchise is an important step for the development of our company. The UK betting market is highly competitive. As a result, we decided to continue operating under a strong international brand that will allow us to stand out among other bookmakers. We're delighted to become a part of a global brand, and are looking forward to contributing to the esports betting market in the UK.
GGBet Offerings and Further Development
GGBet will offer its UK customers three gambling verticals: the esports and sports betting market, an online casino, and a live deal lobby. Users will be able to access a wide range of popular esports titles on the platform, such as Counter-Strike, Dota 2, and League of Legends.
Additionally, GGBet's online casino will host various games, including popular slot options like Starburst, The Goonies, Legacy of Dead, and Megaways Wolf Legend.
The live casino section, as in most other platforms, will feature games like live blackjack, live roulette, live baccarat, and an upcoming tournaments tab.
The development comes at a time when the global influence of esports is on a steady rise. GGBet reports that the UK eSports betting market has expanded by an impressive 47% in the last three years.
The operator aims to strengthen its presence in Europe, leveraging its existing tournament partnerships with leading entities like PGL Stockholm and PGL Antwerp.
In February, GGBet extended its agreement with the esports live data provider, Bayes Esports.
