Rivalo Expands ESPN Brazil Sports Coverage Deal to Basketball
Leading sports betting operator Rivalo has partnered with ESPN to sponsor its basketball coverage in Brazil.
Rivalo will benefit from the deal by getting its brand adverts and promotions featured during the sports network commercial breaks. The betting operator seeks to increase its brand exposure among the Brazilian populace through the partnership.
Basketball is a sport that is highly watched in Brazil. It is only third to football and American football. With the favorable terms of the deal, Rivalo looks to be on the path of fulfilling its strategic plans to increase its customers base in 2022.
ESPN has always been a reference in broadcasting sports content. We are very pleased with the beginning of this partnership, and I hope it will last for many years. Basketball is in the top three most-watched and wagered sports in Brazil, so having our brand in the breaks of ESPN's main basketball broadcast is a big step towards the consolidation of the Rivalo brand nationally.
ESPN is a sports broadcasting network owned by Disney since 1996. It is perhaps the biggest global sports network with an active presence in most jurisdictions of the world.
In a highly competitive market, adjusted to the reality of the country, we need to have discretion and responsibility, which makes Rivalo an important partner for our business. With strict criteria, we are confident this offer will add to ESPN's sports grid in Brazil.
Before agreeing to this deal, the online betting firm had also sponsored ESPN's coverage of American football in Brazil in partnership with Liga BFA.
