Robert Blair Joins AGS as Deputy General Counsel
LISTEN TO THIS ARTICLE:Casino games provider PlayAGS has announced the appointment of Robert 'Bob' Blair as its new Deputy General Counsel.
Blair brings more than two decades of iGaming industry expertise to AGS. Prior to his new appointment, he was most recently the Global General Counsel at Aruze Gaming. He has also worked in the firm as Global Deputy General Counsel and Global Senior IP Counsel.

Additionally, Blair served at EIP as US Patent Attorney and at Unwired Planet as the Vice President of Patents.
In his new role, Blair will oversee a range of legal affairs for AGS, including collaborating with the executive team to ensure proper adherence to compliance and governance issues.
The company aims to benefit from Blair's experience in optimizing budgets, managing portfolio transactions, strategizing litigation and enforcement approaches, overseeing patent prosecution, and handling portfolio management.
Bob is an exceptional legal mind who is a valuable addition to the AGS leadership team. With his extensive knowledge and experience on corporate legal affairs and patent matters, Bob will be a key player in protecting and advancing our business and our brand as AGS continues to capitalize on many growth opportunities ahead.
Strong Second Quarter for AGS
Blair joins AGS at a time when the company is set on expanding internationally. In its Q2 2023 report released earlier this month, AGS posted a record $89.8 million in revenue, a 17% year-on-year increase compared to $76.6 million in Q2 2022.
The company attributed part of this success to its EGM equipment sales in "29 US states, four Canadian provinces, and one international jurisdiction outside of North America throughout Q2 2023.
AGS also noted that it would "continue to successfully implement strategic initiatives intended to broaden our customer account penetration, particularly with larger corporate buyers."
