RSI Becomes First US Operator to Launch in Mexico
Rush Street Interactive (RSI) is launching its RushBet online casino and sportsbook in Mexico through a partnership with media conglomerate Grupo Multimedios.
They have signed a 25-year agreement that allows RSI to operate the RushBet site across Mexico using a license that is held by a subsidiary of Grupo Multimedios. The deal also makes it possible for RSI to utilize Grupo Multimedios’ media channels and distribution assets.
When the site goes live, it will give Mexicans the chance to enjoy a huge collection of casino games, including more than 350 slots. Members will also benefit from an extensive sportsbook that covers major leagues and events across Mexico, Latin America, North America, and further afield.
RSI became the first US operator to launch in Latin America when RushBet.co went live in Colombia in 2018. Now it has become the first US operator to have a presence in Mexico.
We are thrilled to build upon RSI’s track record of success in Latin America to now bring the millions of Mexican gaming enthusiasts into the expanding RushBet community. Grupo Multimedios is one of the most respected media enterprises in Mexico, making them a great partner for us to launch and accelerate our online gaming operations in the country. Mexico represents an attractive market opportunity, with a population of more than 130 million. When combined with Colombia’s population of 50 million, this new market greatly expands RSI’s offering in Latin America.
Angel Cong, Grupo Multimedios’ co-chief executive, expressed excitement about the launch. He said that by leveraging Grupo Multimedios’ media assets, the site could achieve the same success in Mexico that RSI has enjoyed in North America and Colombia. Cong added, “Our goal is to work with RSI to create the best and most trusted online casino and sports betting experience in the Mexican market.”
