Rush Street One Step Closer to Ontario Licensing
Rush Street Interactive, the parent company of BetRivers, has been granted an iGaming operator registration by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario ahead of the state’s iGaming market launch on April 4.
As a result, the leading operator will be able to provide online casino and sportsbook services via its real money brand, BetRivers in Ontario, after it meets all requirements by the regulatory authorities.
Currently, the leading operator features its free-to-play social gaming platform, Casino4Fun, via BetRivers.ca in Ontario. Although the site is powered by the proprietary technology behind its real-money offering, it does not offer any real-money options or payout.
The Ontario iGaming market would mark the third state where Rush Street would go live with its BetRivers real money offering. Other states in the firm’s portfolio include Colombia and the United States.
However, the company also has footprints in Mexico through its partnership with media giant Grupo Multimedios. Together, they plan to launch an online casino and sports betting services in the region in Q2 2022.
The receipt of our registration in Ontario is an important milestone that demonstrates our commitment to operating only in legalized markets where we pay local taxes, and we are grateful for the trust of the AGCO. We are now one step closer to launching the BetRivers real-money online casino and sportsbook in Ontario and bringing our unique betting options, such as our innovative peer-to-peer slot tournaments or same game parlays, fast payouts, and award-winning customer service, to the province’s millions of residents. “Our free-to-play social gaming platform has experienced strong traction in Ontario to date, and we look forward to offering those players similarly entertaining and responsible experiences when our real-money offerings come April 4.
