Simplebet Founder and Boxer Co-launch Micro-betting Site
Simple bet co-founder Joey Levy and social media personality and professional boxer Jake Paul have announced the launch of their new micro-betting platform Betr.
While Levy will play the role of the company’s CEO, Paul will act as its President.
According to the founders, Betr will be at the forefront of the micro-betting revolution in the United States betting market. Using Simplebet’s technology, the app allows customers to wager on smaller game features like pitches and at-bats during baseball matches and drives and plays during football games.
The Betr app is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks. It will be free-to-play until the company acquires the necessary licenses it needs to operate in various US jurisdictions.
Betr will unbundle micro-betting by building an entire company around it and delivering the experience in a simple, intuitive UI layer. We believe micro-betting will ultimately emerge as the predominant way consumers bet on US sports.
Betr was able to achieve a seamless launch after raising $50m across two funding rounds from several sports betting and media personalities, including NFL stars Ezekiel Elliot and Richard Sherman, Boston Celtics, San Francisco 49ers owners and American rapper Travis Scott.
I wasn’t into sports betting until I was introduced to micro-betting. Micro-betting is the TikTok-ification of sports betting and I am excited to bring it to the masses through Betr. We are in this for the long haul and are focused on doing things the right way.
