Tennis Integrity Agency Sanctions Five Players for Match Fixing
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has taken disciplinary measures against five French tennis players for breaching the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).

The players were all linked to a Belgian match-fixing ring investigated between 2017 and 2018. The sanctions are linked to a 2023 criminal case in Belgium that led to a five-year prison sentence for the syndicate's leader, Grigor Sargsyan.

Lifetime Ban for Yannick Thivant
The most severe punishment is the lifetime ban for 38-year-old Yannick Thivant. Formerly ranked world No. 590, Thivant admitted to fixing 22 matches, including 16 of his own. ITIA’s Independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer, Professor Richard McLaren, imposed the ban along with a $75,000 fine and restitution of €37,400.
Thomas Brechemier, 28, who peaked at a career-high rank of 399, received a suspension of seven years and six months, along with a $40,000 fine (with $27,500 suspended) for his role in fixing 11 matches. His suspension began earlier this year on 12 February 2025 and will end in August 2032.
Gabriel Petit, 29, who did not respond to the ITIA’s charges, was handed a six-year-and-six-month suspension after being found guilty of fixing seven matches. He was also fined $35,000, and his suspension started on 21 March 2025.

Banned from Coaching, Playing and Attending ITIA Events
Thomas Setodji, 29, faced a 10-year ban and a $20,000 fine, plus €5,500 in restitution. He was guilty of fixing three matches and failing to report an approach from corrupt figures.
Hugo Daubias, 28, was suspended for two years after confessing to fixing two matches in 2017. His suspension includes a $15,000 fine and will remain in effect until March 2027.
All five players are barred from participating in, coaching, or attending any ITIA-authorized tennis events worldwide during their suspensions.
The action comes after other integrity measures taken by the ITIA, including the four-year suspension of Bosnian tennis official Damjan Dejanovic in December 2024 for six TACP violations, such as betting on tennis matches and manipulating match data.
