Brandt Iden Becomes New Fanatics VP of Government Affairs
Fanatics Betting and Gaming has announced the appointment of Brandt Iden as its new Vice President of government affairs.
Formerly a Michigan legislator, Iden was elected into the House in 2014 and served till 2020, when he reached the state term limit.
As a legislator, Iden favored the idea of Michigan having a viable sport betting market and, as such, championed efforts to legalize online gaming and sports betting in the state.
After leaving the House, Iden joined Sportradar as Head of government affairs at a period when the business went public on the Nasdaq exchange.
In his new role, Iden will be responsible for the monitoring and analysis of proposed legislation, emerging issues, and trends to determine the potential impact on the business. He will also collaborate with industry groups and organizations to achieve the company's objectives.
Excited to announce that I've joined the Fanatics Betting & Gaming team as vice president of government affairs.
Iden joins the sports apparel company at a time when it is preparing to foray into the sports betting industry. His appointment is the latest move by the business to build up its betting and gaming division ahead of a rumored 2023 launch.
Last month, Fanatics appointed Orlando Ashford as its Chief People Officer. It also named Jason White as the Chief Marketing Officer of the betting division.
